Is the Nigerian army Truly in Nnamdi Kanu’s house looting all his furniture, electronic equipment, carpets, personal items, and clothes etc.

The two pictures above does not really show the Nigeria Army looting or carting away properties from Nnamdi Kanu’s house though it does show that they are in his family compound.

The Nigerian Army have a lot of reason to be in that premises, one being that they are hunting for Nnamdi Kanu. But if it is proven that the Army actually looted properties from Nnamdi Kanu’s house, then the Army authority should do best to open an investigation into it and penalized any officer found guilty of involving in the act.

A former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Chief Femi Fani kayode (FFK) had released the above pictures via his Twitter handle stating that a supporter of Nnamdi Kanu took the pictures as proof that officers of the Nigerian Army were looting properties from Nnamdi Kanu’s house.

SUSPICIONS: Episode 9

He shrugged, “probably, but it’s more likely it was meant to be. She overdosed herself. Her timing was just wrong….but why do you think that it may not be suicide?”
A memory of mum, when she was receiving the medal last year, flashed through my mind. She had addressed the congregation, a black among many whites and she had not been afraid. I had been very proud of her. She hadn’t looked like a drug addict, a cheater, or mentally scrambled to me. She had never missed I or Johnny’s PTA, she gave us treats.
“Because,” I said, addressing him. “I have known my mother for all of my life. You have only known her for two weeks of investigation. My mother couldn’t have been a drug addict,” I began to cry but I would not stop speaking. Why was everything bent on making mother the criminal? “….or a cheat, or a liar. You don’t know my mother like I do. You can’t come here and tell me these things. Check your reports again, sir…”
Aslem held me, consolingly. Every hope I had that mother was innocent, that maybe she had fallen off by mistake and hadn’t meant to kill herself was shattered. Until then, I didn’t know I had been hoping for that.
Suddenly, there was not a enough air to breathe, not a enough space to turn. It was one thing, trying to get yourself to believe your mother killed herself, it was another, to believe she also had a condition she was hiding from you. “I understand your point of view, Miss Forrest-”
“No, you don’t.” I interrupted. “She was my mother.” I looked towards Johnny, his eyes were sad and lonely. “Our mother,” i whispered.
He shrugged. “My guess is nobody knew about this all this time. Your mother hid it well.”
It occurred to me then, that Aslem had not said anything since. I turned to him, fury pounding in my blood. “No… I think someone did.”
He looked guilty as hell. “Yes, I did.”
“You what!” My legs yielded beneath me. I collapsed against the wall. I cringed away when he tried to help. I hardly noticed Inspector Owen’s imaginary hat tipping before he left with his partner. L I could only see a lying hypocrite like my mother in front of me.
” And all this time you were pretending?”
He seemed to have gone dumb all of a sudden, which infuriated me further. “Tell me!” I screamed. Tears began to stream down my face. “How long have you known what my mother was?”
“Jane, come on, we will talk inside, please.” The tears blinded my eyes, I couldn’t see properly. I couldn’t make sense of anything he was saying. “Were you waiting for her to rise from the dead to tell me herself? Why did you act like you did not know what those reporters were saying? Why did you not tell me then? Why did you wait until now?”
“Dammit Jade! Don’t make me the bad guy here. I was trying to protect you. You and Johnny. You didn’t have to face that.”
“Really?”
“Calm down Jade….listen to me. You are taking this more seriously than it should.”
“That all of this, everything I ever knew had all been a lie you and mum told us is not serious enough?”
He looked exasperated. “I know Jane, I know I should have told you…believe me. I would have but I found out a few weeks myself and your mother begged me not to tell you. She told me she was receiving treatment and I believed her….” He was still explaining, but I didn’t care anymore. “….She threatened to kill herself if I told you.”
“No Aslem, you have no idea.”
I was filled with contempt. Was this what he had been telling me when he kept saying mother loved us very much, was this it, the love? Because he knew it was all a lie, because he and mother were party to this. He hid the truth all this time from me and now, she was dead. I was crying so much, and the blood kept pounding in my ears. Maybe if I had known, mother wouldn’t be dead now, maybe I could have helped, maybe I could have stopped her, maybe I wouldn’t have had that fight with her and insisted on my choice but I did not know and because of that, my mother was dead.
“I fucking can’t believe you did this.”
Every sober moment she had had, every quiet stare and missed meal, became signs I had missed. Those days when mum locked herself in her room, to read, might have been when she took her drugs. The strong woman I had believed in,the hero who stuck her neck out for others, the success story I wanted to relive, had all been a farce. The heaviness of the memory threatened to annihilate me. I wanted to hide from it, to bury my head in the sand, to cease to feel, think or remember. That I could escape from it all, my mother, and her secrets, Aslem and his betrayal, even Johnny’s sadness because I could not make them go away. The tables were turned against us.
“Where are you going?” Aslem asked, looking fearful. “Don’t do anything stupid Jade. Its getting late.”
Everything was in a haze. My face was hot, the rest of my skin felt cold and numb, down to my thumb. I couldn’t feel anything in them. I clutched my chest as a sudden raw pain, gripped me there, like someone was clenching my heart with a mean fist. It left me hot in the face and gasping for breathe.
“What do you care Aslem?” I asked, my voice heavy with venom. “You let our mother die, you could have saved her but you didn’t….. I will never forgive that.”
I stumbled out into the street, no idea where I was headed, except the overwhelming desire to get away.

Somewhere in a distant corner of my mind, a little boy was crying and a thousand cars honked but I did not care, it didn’t occur to me that I had that luxury anymore.
Who was my mother, what was she, why were all this happening, what were her secrets, how many more would I find? My world, and all I thought I believed in, was gone, evaporated before my eyes. I truly was on my own.

Why Your Influencer Branding Matters? What You Need to Know

Image result for Social media influencer websiteUnlike in the past when marketing was influenced mainly through word-of-mouth sale pitches and commercials run on TV and Radio Stations geared toward enhancing brand visibility. Today, due to virtual reality of the internet, brand marketing has gone beyond the traditional medium of face-to-face sales pitch and TV/radio commercials though these mediums still account for about 30% of purchasing decisions and brand loyalty according to a survey carried out by eMarketer. Today’s market is dominated by social media marketing and this is the reason why your influencer branding matters if you are desirous of giving your brand the high visibility it needs to drive up sales.

The advent of the internet has created new relationship model of cyber-digital interaction. Almost everyone with a computer or smartphone devices are online browsing through stuffs, engaging in social media discussions and chats or generally just surfing the web for items of interest. This trend has made the internet, particularly the social media platforms to be a veritable medium of influencing brand visibility and enhancing sales.

Various researches conducted on the role of the social media in influencing buying decisions of customers and consumers have shown that approximately 70% of such decisions are influenced by social media marketing and branding. A research from one of the major social media platform Twitter revealed that 49% of people who made purchase decisions sort guidance from social media influencers. Now to fully understand why your influencer branding matters, we must first understand what a social media influencer is all about.

Social Media Influencer

The term social media influencer relates to someone who, for various reasons such as their personality, writing style or high visibility on one or multiple social media platform, has a certain degree of influence over others and can guide their decision on various subjects. Influencers pitch or remarks about a particular product or brand parks lot of weight on their followers because their views and opinions are highly respected by those who follow them. It is for this reason that brands seek out people of influence like movie stars, football stars, popular and respected experts, music stars, and high rated TV personalities to market or issue out positive reviews about their products and brands. These could be in the form of tweets, commentaries or picture posts validating a particular brand’s product.

Why Your Influencer branding Matters

Your influencer branding is imperative because influencing your brand through social media influencers or via a social media influencing strategy companies helps in extending the reaches of your brand; giving your brand a high level of positive visibility. By working with social media influencers to create contents supporting your brand or make posts and tweets that validates your brand, you shoot up interest in your brand among their followers who will become intrigued on knowing more about your brand and finding out why persons they respect are talking about it. This approach is known as the message laser-targeting strategy.

For example, you can partner with various social media influencers to start and trend a hash-tag about your company, brand or brand tagline. This strategy has made twitter, instagram, and Facebook to become one of the most influencing social media platforms on the internet.

Another reason why your influencer branding matters is, you can boost the credibility of your brand through the posting of your influencer’s messages and contents about your brand on your own website and social media channels. This strategy goes a long way in directing traffic to your website and social media channels which helps in exposing your brand to new customers.

Creating Series of Facebook Ads

When you create or your influencer creates series of catchy Facebook Ads about your brand or product and share them on their timeline or even incorporate them into their tweets and posts, you enhance the visibility of the Ads to reach more audience. The more people see your Ads, the more interest it will generate in them to want to visit your website and page. With increased mileage to your site, your branding gets more interested customers and this translates to an increase in business revenue for you.

Going further, you can recruit the services of an influencer or multiple influencers to participate in a content you share like having notable influencers participate in a video you made and having them also share it on their blogs, blog post, social media post, tweets, and YouTube video. This strategy is very effective in making the video content – for example – go viral and get millions of views. It also directs traffic to your website or page.

By leveraging on an influencers following to give visibility to your brand and contents, you tremendously grow your customer base and increase sales and request for your services.

Finding the Right Social Media Influencer for your Brand Campaigns

Now we know why your influencer branding matters to the growth of your business and brand, but it is also very important to know how to recruit the right influencer for your social media campaigns. When you want to hire a social media influencer, here are some tips you need to consider before engaging the influencer:

Follower Base of the Influencer

What is the strength of the influencers’ follower base? Is it big enough for the kind of visibility you want for your brand? It is important you find answers to these questions by checking out the influencer’s page or social media accounts to access their follower base.

Contents of the Influencer

What kind of contents does the influencer post or tweet? Are their contents and what they have gained popularity for in sync with the message you are trying to pass? If they are not in sync with your message, can you still use the contrast to boost your campaign? For example, engaging an influencer noted for having strong views against abortion to validate an abortion brand might be anti-productive but could also be a big boost for the abortion brand if well managed and structured.

Interactions

How interactive are the posts and tweets of the influencers? Do their posts and tweets generate discussions on the issues? Are they able to make their followers change strongly held views about a topic or subject? Knowing how engaging a social media influencer is and how easily that influencer can change the notions of their followers is imperative before recruiting any influencer for your campaigns.

Who are your Target Audiences?

For any marketing strategy to be successful, you must first know your target audience. Knowing your target audience helps you streamline your content and message to appeal to them. An Ad for things of interest for senior citizens will not be of interest to youths or teens because they won’t be able to relate with the message. So it is always advisable to know your target audience even before picking out influencers to hire because the knowledge will help you in picking the right kind of influencer, and also in crafting your content to appeal to your targeted audience.

Conclusion

Having a social media influencer matters a lot to your brand growth because it helps in creating visibility for your brand. It also helps in building customer’s trust in your brand. When influential persons trusted by a particular community are seen to be validating your brand, their followers are subtly guided to develop trust for your brand also and start their own promotional validation of your brand through reposts, re-tweets, and favourable comments regarding your brand. The fact that everyone is talking about your brand drives up interest in your product and boost your business. It is for these reasons and others that it is imperative that you engage the services of an influencer to promote your brand through campaigns, video content posts, tweets, blog posts, Facebook posts, Ads campaigns, and social media commentaries.

The Igbo House Nigga Syndrome

Image may contain: 1 person, text

Written by Chidinma Onyejiuwa

Infobytes: #IgboHouseNigga vs. #HouseNiggas

In the USA, in the days of physical slavery there were two kinds of negro slaves: the field negro and the house negro, also referred to as “field niggas” and “house niggas”.

While the field niggas worked the plantation, the house niggas served the master and his family, in the house. Their position gave them access to crumbs from the “massa”‘s table, and some semblance of warmth from his fire place.

It was a privileged position to be a HouseNigga, and so they grew to detest the idea of freedom, for so long as they were the ones who were pleasured with the nice aroma from the massa’s ( master ) kitchen, what other kind of freedom are those fellas in the field talking about?

“It is their stupid talk about freedom, and running off all the time that makes massa think all we niggas are bad, and we might so lose this privilege of eating warm food and warming massa’s bed if these field niggas don’t stop singing those nasty freedom hymes.”

So the House Niggas grew to hate and betray their kins in the field. And to prove total loyalty and impress their masters they decided to #SelfHate , and siezed every opportunity to inform their owner “how bad we niggas can be”.

As a matter of fact, these slaves once upon a time fought against their own liberation. Yes, there were some black slaves who fought on the side of the Confederate Army in the American civil war to prevent their own freedom!

Now that is how far some slaves are willing to go because for them, freedom has been redefined to mean, a more comfortable enslavement.

That’s the House Nigga Syndrome!

slave

They hate their own kind. They oppose their kind. They find faults always with themselves. They magnify the error of one of their kind to mean an inherent trait in their racial or ethnic gene.

The #HouseNiggas do all these to seek validation and receive approval from those they look up to for a more comfortable enslavement.

With the end of the Nigeria/Biafra war, the need for personal survival of the Igbo Nation led to the creation of the #IgboHouseNigga.

Now you already know the guiding ethos of a typical house nigga. But how do you identify an IgboHouseNigga when you chance upon them? Here are some important traits to look out for:

1. When you hear him say, “Look, I am an Igbo man, but truth be told, we Igbos are bad, even me I am bad”, know that an IgboHouseNigga is on the prowl.

Then his “Massa” would always reward him with, “Hey, I like that dude, he is honest”. And the idiot will nod like an atụrụ.

2. They sometimes open introduction with an apology, “I’m sorry sir, I’m Igbo…”
Now not sure if their apology was accepted, they would take a step further to water down their Igboness by linking themselves to some dinasours, ” …em…but my great grand mother’s sister was Yoruba …and my cousine is married to a Kanuri …I’m sorry sir”. An IgboHouseNigga.

3. You hear them wave off every attempt at Igbo self determination with hollow sounding comments like “Nna leave this Biafran nonsense …dem no get work …na we dey kill ourself…”. Now this group of IgboHouseNiggas have small change in their pockets, drink some expensive wine and have one plot of land somewhere outside Igboland.

4. They take up political appointments outside Igboland and turn around to insult the same people on whose platform they got the appointment, one chap in Lagos is always in the market place pointing at his father’s house with his left hand. IgboKweNu!

5. Their ears itch for bad news from Igboland, so they would grin and shout “I warned them…, didn’t I say so?”

6. When you hear Igbo haters declare; “Hey! That chap is the only Igbo man that makes sense” just know an Igbo house nigga is around the corner.

7. They see everything wrong with their own people, all the time.

8. As governors they report to the Sultan of Sokoto on how they govern their own people. There are five of them at the moment and they the worst kind of IgboHouseNiggas, little timid men who celebrate the murder of their own children and pat the murderers on the back.

But… the truth about all you #IgboHouseNiggas is, you disgust your masters and they merely tolerate you, for a purpose.

Your masters true respect and admiration goes to the courageous Amadis and Amaalas who would rather starve free than become fat slaves, those who will rather die on their feet as freemen than die licking the dirty butts of this Haggard Tyrant and his murderous gang. After all, death will come to all men.

For all FREEMEN who were murdered in Abia for “talking too much and waving a flag”, may you find peace and return soon to us.
